WARLI ART
Warli art is a form of tribal art mostly created by the tribal people from the North Sahyadri Range in Maharashtra, India. This range encompasses cities such as Dahanu, Talasari, Jawhar, Palghar, Mokhada, and Vikramgad of Palghar district. The Warli tribe is one of the largest in India and the art is thought to date back as early as 10th century A.D
The Warli culture is centered on the concept of Mother Nature and elements of nature are often focal points depicted in Warli painting. The paintings are usually done on red mud walls using white paint. The organic white paint is made by grinding rice into a white powder and mixing it with water and in some cases, oil. The art is predominantly done by using basic geometrical shapes like circles, triangles, and squares
The whole shoot is based on warl i art, a form of tribal art mostly created by the tribal people from the North Sahyadri Range. We have tried to add an essence of tribal look with modern touch which is being depicted through their styl ing of clothes and hairstyles
